 Fault Time-Domain Response

 Demo 2.12: Rg= 0.6 Z0, ZL=Z0

 


Given: A fault, represented by a 25-  shunt resistance, is located at a distance of 800 km from the sending end of a 2400-km long transmission line with up = 2c/3. The switch is closed at t = 0 and the line is not properly matched at the sending end (Rg =0.6Z0).

 

 

 the voltage along the line as a function of time for t > 0.
