Divergence of Vector Fields
The graphical presentation depicts the vector field
At a given point in space, a vector field has positive divergence if the net flux flowing outward through the surface of an imaginary infinitesimal volume centered at that point is positive, the divergence is negative if the net flux is into the volume, and the divergence is zero if the same amount of flux enters into the volume as leaves it.
Q.
Based on the definition of divergence, is the field displayed divergenceless everywhere?
to show the graphical solution.
